Good afternoon!
Since our last update, we've added curve-based plants to the world of Microwanderer! And, not only that, we've also added the original soundtrack we've been composing for it for the last two months! We've also reworked the cel shading in order to give it a more retro look.
Most importantly, though, Microwanderer is slowly taking the shape of a game and, with it, the steps for it to become one are becoming clearer with every prototype. Here's what we project for the next few prototypes:
- 0.5. Pause menu, base requests and base connection; inventory and missions save/load system.
- 0.6. Angle/position labels replaced with simple iconographic map representing probe, plants, globi and future elements.
- 0.7. Caves, dens, etc.
- 0.8. Portals to other procedurally generated areas.
- 0.9. Win condition (it may look otherwise, but this is the hardest one).
- 1.0. Polish, release.
